Q: How can I tell if my sensor is not performing properly?

A: PurpleAir Classic, PurpleAir Flex, and PurpleAir Zen sensors contain two identical laser counters, Channel A and Channel B, which makes it possible to determine if the sensor is performing properly. If there is a problem with one or both laser counters, when viewing the data, you will see a disagreement in readings between the two channels. The confidence score is a measurement of the agreement between the two channels.

Please see our sensor maintenance guide to troubleshoot the issue.

Hello! I am seeing a disagreement in the readings between the two channels on my device with a confidence of 76% between the two channels. So how do we fix the problem?
