Replace USB adapter

I have had a “Classic” PA-II Air Quality Sensor for 6 or 7 years.

The internal USB cable needs to be replaced. I’ve sent emails to the support address, but there hasn’t been any reply.

Starting about two years ago, the sensor would drop offline and turn gray on the map. When I checked, it was always powered off. If I unplugged the power supply’s USB-micro from the power supply, and plugged it back in, the sensor would power back up and come online. But at some random time-lapse (a few days to a few weeks), it would drop offline again

Recently, it stopped powering back up and the USB socket inside the shell was loose.

I took it apart, cleaned some old spider-nests out, and plugged it into my 8-port USB charger, and it wouldn’t power up. I unplugged the internal USB-micro to USB-mini adapter cable and used a USB-A to USB-mini cable and plugged and plugged into the charger, and it powered up like it should and came online. I also checked the PurpleAir power supply on a tablet and the tablet started charging.

So, I need to replace the internal USB adapter cable inside the sensor.

The USB cable was delivered today, and it solved the problem.

Thanks for the follow-up
