Hi everyone, we have had a sensor running in central Amsterdam for just over 1 year. Recently, the data has become (increasingly?) intermittent, with seemingly random gaps (see screenshot). In some cases, it does not report for multiple days. We installed a wifi repeater just across a window from the sensor, to be sure it wasn’t a wifi intermittency issue, but the problem persists. Is there any other recommended “reset” we can do to recover full data coverage? Is there any sort of firmware update available, or other software maintenance we can do? Thank you very much for any suggestions!
Not much in the way of software maintenance, firmware versions are controlled by PA through the cloud.
Some suggestions that come to mind:
- There is such as thing as being “too close to the AP.” Move the repeater away from the PA.
- Make sure there are no APs using the same network name/SSID nearby. The PA may be jumping networks to one with different addressing/connectivity.
- If the PA is attached to a campus network, check with campus IT and make sure they are not blocking traffic from the PA as suspicious. They can also check that DHCP is working properly to the PA, which can tip off if there is connectivity issues.
