My Zen sensor only displays red. Nothing else. the map shows a greyed out “0” circled because I use the sensor indoors. How can I get the sensor itself to display the corresponding actual color of the indoor reading, and how can I get the number on the map to not be greyed out?
Hi, Lois!
I believe I’ve pulled up your sensor, and I can see what’s likely occurring here. You have two data “channels” on your device, A and B, which can each report different readings. Currently, channel A seems to be reporting reliably, but channel B is reporting erroneously high values. The greyed out/transparent appearance on the map is due to a lack of correlation between each channel, and your sensor is likely displaying a red color due to the influence of that erroneous channel.
This issue with your readings typically occurs due to an obstruction getting into the unit, such as a spider web, insect, or some debris. You can address it by following the steps in our sensor maintenance guide, which should get your sensor back into shape.
Let us know if you need any additional guidance. Thanks, Lois!
I cannot thank you enough ShawnBoyle!!! It worked perfectly. I would never have been able to get to the root cause, let along fix it at 80 years old!!!
Kind regards,
Lois
