I have a sensor(zen) in my living room. For the last few weeks I’ve felt it has been reporting high (both channels) but with summer fires I wasn’t sure if maybe my IAQ wasn’t the best even with a hepa filter at home. Yesterday the 2.5 readings dropped down from about 40 to 2 instantaneously! No one was home, no pets, windows closed, the sensor wasn’t moved, just in the middle of the day, bam a massive drop in BOTH channels and it’s stayed low since! Any ideas??

Those readings are vey peculiar, even with the sudden drop aside, 10-minute averages don’t often look that erratic. It’s possible that there was a bug or some type of debris inside the laser counters, although it would have to be in both, causing the erratic readings. Have you tried sensor maintenance? I’d suggest doing so and seeing if the readings change.
