Sensor + ERV Script

I live in California so the aqi can vary wildly when there’s a fire nearby. My house has an ERV system that filters and brings in outside air when it’s on. Even though the air goes through a MERV13 filter, one can still smell smoke when there’s a wildfire, so when the aqi reaches a certain limit, it would be great to have it turn off. I’ve connected the ERV to Google Home and can turn it on and off there, but it would be awesome if there was a script to connect the sensor to Google Home and have the ERV automatically turn off when the air is bad (like during the night when the wind direction has suddenly changed). Anyone used this or something similar?
