SD card file with wrong date

Hi,

I set up the sensor for recording smoke data from April 17th to 18th, but the CSV file in the SD card showed the date of either 1970 or 2024 with the wrong date. How should I fix it?

Hello,

All SD-capable sensors have real-time clocks in them, and it’s possible that the real-time clock on your sensor may have drifted apart and needs to be resynced. Here is an instruction on how to resync the real-time clock in your device: SD Card Logging and Troubleshooting

Hi John,

Thank you for the information. I cannot now connect the sensor to WIFI since I use University internet. Is connecting the sensor to WIFI the only solution for getting the right date/time? And even after resyncing, these old files’ timing won’t be changed?
