I would love to purchase an air quality monitor and contribute to the real time map, however I would also like to reduce the amount of WIFI in and around my home. I was wondering if there is anyway to contribute (e.g. through ethernet cable ) or is WIFI the only option?

Right now, the only option if you want to contribute data to the map is WiFi. We are in the process of developing a POE sensor, but have no timeline for it.
That being said, you can use sensors without WiFi, and collect data via an SD card for example, but that data won’t be on the map.
