Pet Dander/Dust

We have many (MANY!) dogs and cats, so dust and dander are a constant in our home. Lots of dusting and filter changes. I know that the dust finds its way into our various electronics (tvs, cable router, game consoles). Would a PurpleAir sensor require some sort of prefilter to prevent the sensors from getting clogged up?

A filter would disrupt the sensor readings (filtering out what it is looking for!). The air flow path through the sensor is fairly straight so any dust build-up should be minimal. Regular monitoring of the sensor and performing this procedure when needed should keep the sensor on track.
