Hi
I am having an issue with my PurpleAir Zen monitor that I believe is power related but I am still unsure.
When I power up the sensor, it turns on Blue for about 15 seconds, then goes to Green. After about 1 minute of being Green, it then suddenly turns to Pink/Purple. The map has recorded the spike in AQI & the SD cards shows as undetected every time this happens. It also drops my sensors confidence score to around the 85-90% mark. I checked the AQI spike against my handheld Temtop M2000 and that read 2.4ug/m3 of PM2.5.
I have tried using 3 different power adapters today, and the original adapter I used is rated to 5V 550mA, which had no problems until this morning. The BME chip was reading 4.1-4.4V previously, but this morning it dropped to 3.4V or lower.
The second adapter I tried was rated to 5.1V 2.1A, but the voltage was still reading between 3.9 & 4.5V
The adapter I am currently using is rated to 5V 2A and the voltage is still only reading around the 4.4V mark.
The cable I am using is about 1.5M long.
I have attached a screenshot of the sensor’s IP interface and the 2 adapters I was having issues with.
Could this be an issue with my power adapter or my sensor?
Thank you
