Flex-2 isn't correlating well with my state's FEM monitor

Hey community,

I’m developing a comparison between my purple air Flex-2 sensor and my state’s FEM monitor. According to the state it’s a met one BAM 1020. My slope is below 80% and my r-square is below 60%. I’ve tried all the maintenance of cleaning it out with a can of air and following the deployment guidelines and it’s just not working.

Hello and welcome!

A couple of questions that can help us get on the same page:

  • Which data are you comparing, and where are you getting it from (SD card, API, etc.)?
  • If you’re getting the data from the API, what is the name of the field(s) you’re using?

If it’s been online, and you’re comfortable sharing the Device ID here, we can check the data and metadata on our side to rule out issues. If not, you can share it via email to contact@purpleair.com.

I’m using the download tool so I believe API. I’m applying the US EPA conversion to the conversions. This is also hourly data.

Yes, through the download tool would be through the API. Thanks for letting us know. We’re interested in looking into this, could you send an email into contact@purpleair.com with the Device ID of the sensor your using?

Just sent a few days of hourly data over with a time series and regression.
