Full disclosure: I’m on Team Clear. Bias? Crystal clear.
The tech bros think a PIXEL should show its circuit board. It’s the most beautiful part of the device, hiding it is a cover-up, and we mean that literally.
The accounts/admin team disagrees. Loudly. They want White: clean, tidy, matches the wall, and doesn’t look like somebody’s electronics project. Fair. Also wrong. Also missing the point entirely.
Unfortunately, they have numbers on their side. White PIXELs currently outsell Clear PIXELs by 2–3×. Accounts brings this up more often than necessary. We bring up transparency more often than they can stand.
So we’re taking the question to the community, where the better argument might finally become clear:
Which PIXEL looks better?
- Clear — show the board (the clearly superior choice)
- White — keep it clean (the popular choice, somehow)
Vote, then defend your choice in the replies. One sentence is enough, we’ll be collecting the best arguments as evidence for the next office debate. And a winner will be chosen randomly, on the autumnal equinox (Sep 22), from the commenters, and will receive a free PIXEL… in the best variant of it: Clear. (Obviously. Clearly. We’re not subtle.)
One more thing: Team Clear may have left an easter egg on the PIXEL page that could help make the case for the clearly best option.
- Open Specifications, find Housing variants, and move your cursor over Clear. When the page offers to make its case, hear it out, it’s been dying to clear things up. On a phone or tablet, just tap Clear.
We’re not saying this will influence your vote. We’re only saying Team White didn’t build a rebuttal. Their position remains… opaque.
