PurpleAIr sensors will not connect to 5G internet speed, only 2.4G. With the networking upgrading and you are updating your internet speed to 5G, you won’t be able to connect your PurpleAir sensor to it. PurpleAir needs to upgrade the connection to 5G so that people can connect their sensors to the internet connection speed that requires 5G connection.
there is no 5ghz network access points that do not also have 2.4ghz, 5ghz doesn’t have the same range and also is blocked by walls easily, 2.4 ghz has a lower speed but as it is a lower frequency it travels further and it also travels thru almost everything that is not metal of water (like people and trees)
