Sensor Doesn't log data

What could cause a sensor to go offline after two weeks of successfully logging data to both the cloud and an SD card? When powered on, the red indicator light on the right side illuminates, but the blue light (which normally enables connection to the sensor) does not appear. Additionally, the sensor no longer records data to the SD card when switched on. The device was placed outdoors for a three‑week period.

Could be dirty sensors. This happened to one of mine as well. Cleaned it up according to specs and has been good ever since. Start there. Good luck!

Thanks, Jenniffer, for the recommendation. I attempted to clean the sensors using compressed air, but unfortunately this did not resolve the issue. I have ordered replacement laser counters, and if those fail, it will indicate that the entire sensor system is compromised. It raises questions about how robust these sensors are under real‑world conditions. The environment where I deploy them can be quite harsh, and this is already the third unit to malfunction out of a network of twelve.
