Newbie here from Milan, Italy. Seriously thinking of purchasing a sensor. Presume the Zen version. Glad you all say that these are low-cost. Agreed compared to professional ones, but phew, it’s a lot of money for a private individual.
My question is this:
If I buy and install a PurpleAir sensor it will show up (hopefully) on the PurpleAir map. What other apps / maps / websites will it be included in?
There seem to be so many different software showing pollution data that I’m a bit lost. I would certainly be happy for the data to be used.
Am I right in thinking that it will show up on IQAir, WeatherUnderground and help power Google Maps air quality data? What else?
Anyone interested in Meteorology of Lombardy, try this weather site:
Nearly a week in…
Have found my sensor on WeatherUnderground (as I signed up to have it visible). A bit difficult to find on their website.
I have also found it on Windy.com - that was almost immediate.
I have signed up to IQAir.com and my sensor is now visible after a couple of days.
My sensor has also appeared on AirCare.
The US Fire and Smoke Map is not relevant as I am not in the US.
Wondering what other services use PurpleAir sensors without declaring it? So many Air Quality apps / info does not specify where they get their data from.
