All of a sudden my 4 sensors are not showing PM10 options - just the air quality standards around PM2.5 - has there been a software change to remove tis.
Hi Rob,
The PM10 layers are still available. You can find Āµg/m3 values and the PM10 AQI in the āobsoleteā sections of the data layer drop down if you scroll to the
bottom.
Thanks for the quick response - I must have missed the communication about them being obsolete and the rationale behind that
They were moved to the newly created Obsolete categories in the map update that released last week. The āobsoleteā status is based the the AQ-SPEC evaluations found here: air quality sensor summary reports
Besides the AQ-SPEC results, there have been a large number of chamber studies finding that many of the low-cost monitors have trouble with measuring PM10. That was the reason that the ALT-CF3 algorithm was applied only to PM2.5. (aka āpm2.5ā alt in the API database)
Thanks, unfortunately, the PM10 is what I purchased the monitors for - a local authority has been relying on PM10 to measure air quality and I wanted to validate if they were measuring appropriately.
