How do I do this? I doubt the new owner will reconnect, but want to give them the option.

Send an email to contact@purpleair.com with the Device ID of the sensor and ask to have it archived. That will “unregister” the sensor and allow it to be set up as a new device by someone else. The data from your sensor will still be available to view at any time.
They will, however, still need an Associated Email to register. By default, that is the email you ordered with, so if you don’t want them to use that, you can give them the order number and have them email us with it to add a different Associated Email.
In summary:
- Reach out to PA Support to archive the sensor.
- Give the new owner the order number from your purchase (should be PA#####) and have them reach out to PA Support for help—we can assist them from there.
