I have a vintage 2019 PA that is fine except both channels read 0 counts all the time when I connect to it over the LAN with its IP #. So it’s probably not the sensors. T/RH/BP are fine. I erased the memory, reflashed it. No change. Power is fine - red led is there, and blue 3-flashing missing SD card status lites too; sensor fans are running. Any additional troubleshooting ideas? Thx.
Hi George,
You can test to make sure the sensors are still detecting particulates by doing a number of things. If possible, you can move the sensor inside into you kitchen. The next time you cook, you should see an increase in particulate levels.
Hi Kieran; thanks. They always report exactly 0 counts, never anything else. Both of them. But all other PA functions work. They have power. If there are any other things to try, please let me know. Else, I will declare it dead. George
Neither sensor detects any particle counts, ever – always 0 counts. But the rest of the system is working fine. Do you have any additional troubleshooting suggestions? Thanks - George
Hey George,
Are you able to see or hear if the fans in the device are running? This is generally easiest to see when powering on or powering off the sensor.
Additionally, we’re happy to help with more in-depth troubleshooting in an email to contact@purpleair.com if you would like.
Yes, fans are running. Everything looks good except all counts are always zero. Please see my detailed description above.
thanks - George
Thanks for the reply. The readings are very curious given what you’ve stated. I’ve replied to your email. I’d like the sensor back to check it out.
