Best home air purifier, Expert recommendations to choose

Hey everyone

Over the past few days i have been researching the best air purifiers for home use because i have started noticing some allergy symptoms and want to improve my indoor air quality i read reviews consumer reports, the newyork times and healthline and two models consistently stand out as top-rated

Coway AP-1512HH Mighty

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01728NLRG?th=1&linkCode=ll1&tag=toolsandappliances-20&linkId=ecafdfdcd2528585d7b27db92903593f&language=en_US&ref_=as_li_ss_tl

Blueair 211i Max

https://www.amazon.com/BLUEAIR-Purifiers-HEPASilent-Allergies-Purifier/dp/B0BN2MGV5H?th=1&linkCode=ll1&tag=newyorktimes06-20&linkId=691ccd130483b5d6fd0114890f3a041e&language=en_US&ref_=as_li_ss_tl

both seem to have excellent filtration performance (including hepa and activated carbon), smart features and solid coverage for medium-to-large rooms.

however i am still trying to figure out which one would be better for my home setup we have pets, occasional cooking odors and i live near a busy road so dust and pollution can be an issue too. the purifier would ideally be placed in the living room but i might get another later for the bedroom.

Has anyone here used either the AP-1512HH or the 211i Max?
Which one would you recommend for overall performance, reliability and long-term use?

Any expert insight or personal experience would be hugely appreciated!

Thanks in advance!

Hi moe,
I have two cats and a dog. I have been using the Coway AP-1512HH for a year and it works great for hair and dust in medium rooms. It is also quieter than most purifiers. For my needs, it is been perfect.
I have not experience with the blueair but heard Blueair 211i Max is best for coverage, filtration, and quiet operation.
hope this help,

Personally, I went with the Blueair 211i Max. A bigger living room and lots of cooking smells, this one handles everything better than the Coway. Coverage is excellent and it is very quiet even on higher settings.

I have been using Honeywell HPA300 for a couple of years. Solid purifier but it does not have smart features. If you want app control and better coverage, Blueair 211i Max seems like the better option.
