Invalid API Read Key

Good morning all,

Currently am attempting to create an API read key in order to access historical data. However, when a new read key is created & enabled, I am getting 403 errors, & a warning label on the Data Download Tool that says the key is invalid. What should I be doing to ensure I can access historical data? Thanks.

I’ve responded to an internal email from you regarding this, but I’ll respond here as well for anyone else having this issue.

This error typically occurs when the key doesn’t exist or if the key you’re using is archived. If you’ve directly copied the key from our Developer portal and it wasn’t under “Archived Keys”, I’d recommend sending an email to us at contact@purpleair.com and letting us know the key you’re trying to use.
