Data gaps shown as continous line

I’ve been having my own issue with keeping a sensor powered using a solar setup, so the sensor powers off every night and back on every day. I’m working to fix the power issue on my end, but have noticed that the graphing went from showing these nightly data gaps from drops down to zero which were more clear visually where the gaps were to connecting points directly between gaps like in the below sample graph image. The best solution would be to create a graph break where data is missing for say over an hour or some time interval, in my graphing software this is done by inserting an NA or missing value into the graph dataset to produce a graph break. Or if not able to do this, going back to the drops to zero when no data would be better than showing a continuous line between data gap points. Thanks
