Does anyone know if shipping to Canada will cause Customs Broker fees?
Hello Ernie,
We are pleased to inform you that we are now shipping DDP (Deliver Duty Paid) to the following countries:
Australia
Canada
Mexico
And all countries within the European Union
When ordering from those countries, you can expect to see duties charged during checkout (except when selecting USPS as a carrier), which will eliminate the hassle of unexpected costs and fees upon receiving your order.
It is not clear to me that selecting any FedEx method (no USPS option available) will be DDP. I’ve been badly surprised in the past with extra duties and handling charges from them. Can anyone confirm that the FedEx charges shown at checkout are the total sum of charges and nothing more on delivery?
Hello Tom_Ruta,
The charges shown at checkout include all applicable duties and taxes required for import, which means your order will be delivered directly to your door with no additional payment due upon delivery.
If FedEx contacts you to request any further fees, please let us know right away so we can investigate and resolve the issue.
If you would prefer to use USPS as the shipping carrier, feel free to email us at contact@purpleair.com to request a quote using that option.
Thanks. Will advise if there are problems.
Tom
