# Sensor reads zero

My sensor map reading is almost consistently 0, occasionally reading 1 or 2 when multiple sensors around me on the map, sensors in my neighborhood, all read much higher, all consistent with each other. I may have made the mistake of moving the sensor from the back to the front of my house without informing Purpleair and not reregistering. Or are the other troubleshooting things I could try?

Hi @morgill

I’ve taken a look at your sensor and it appears that one of the channels is experiencing difficulty and outputting anomalous readings (0s). Our system recognized that there was an issue, but downgraded the wrong channel. Which is why your sensor only showed zeros on the map. I’ve switched the downgrades around, so now the map will only use readings from the appropriately functioning channel.
