# Sensor died. It’s only a few months old

If you have a [PurpleAir Touch](https://community.purpleair.com/t/which-sensor-to-choose/125#purpleair-touch-2) or [PurpleAir Zen](https://community.purpleair.com/t/which-sensor-to-choose/125#purpleair-zen-6), you can [double tap the sensor](https://community.purpleair.com/t/double-tap-to-change-led-brightness/4693) to change the LED brightness.

If you have a PurpleAir Classic device, it’s possible that the [internal power cable](https://community.purpleair.com/t/checking-the-internal-power-cable/5486) could be loose from what you’ve described.

If neither of the above are the cause of the issue, please send an email to [contact@purpleair.com](mailto:contact@purpleair.com). We want to ensure your sensor is working properly, and not just barely.
