# Channel B - odd outputs

Hi all - since mid August, our sensor (and others in the state) have been producing elevated levels (3,000-4000 mg/m^3) of raw PM2.5. Is there something systemic going on with sensors, mapping, etc? See pic.

Hi @EGBANA
The sensor is definitely experiencing an issue. We recommend power cycling the device by unplugging it for a minute or two and then plugging it back in to see if that resolves the issue. If it doesn’t, please let us know with an email to [contact@purpleair.com](mailto:contact@purpleair.com).

Cycling power & vacuuming the unit helped for a while, now the B channel has gone from recording ~3000+ µg/m3 to precisely zero with a dim display on the real-time map, and has done so for quite some time. The A channel is operational it seems. This unit was a refurbished one from an earlier failed sensor I purchased. I donated the replacement sensor to a local outdoor education center.
We’ve cycled power again, but alas it did not help. What are next steps?
